Reliance Communications & GetJar to rollout Free Mobile Apps Store in India

Reliance Communications India’s dual technology telecom operator joined GetJar, a hub for apps, entertainment, productivity, social & messaging, games, and additional categories to create India’s largest free Mobile App store.

Initially 65000 free applications will be offered to RCOM customers through R-World platform. This free app will let the RCOM to build more traffic, data plan, shoots up Internet usage and it will increase the other services sales.

The customers can also download the applications like Facebook(R) Mobile, Yahoo!, Fandango and eBuddy over 2300 handsets at a cost of 50 paise per MB of usage. The free 65,000 apps will be available for all the RCOM handsets through RCOM VAS portal.

GetJar- RCOM apps will be available for all range of Smartphones. GetJar additional category is bundled with information about Education, Finance, Lifestyle, Health, Travel, Sports, News & Weather and much more.
