Facebook supports Videoplay on Apple iPad by Transcoding

It is something unusual but it is real, a significant change is encountered on Facebook site when browsing through Safari on Apple iPad as it witnessed Video playing capabilities. It is a known fact that Facebook is based on Adobe technology and it doesnot support HTML5.
Apple restricted iPhone and iPod to get vibrated with flash applications. Then how it works on Apple iPad?

But the Facebook confirmed the fact that they are not testing on HTML5, instead they used Transcoding methodolgy that converts one format to another. They encoded the videos in h264 format and it runs on Apple iPad as the tablet support h264-encoded videos.
Facebook rolled out this methodology last week and still the work is in initial stage and yet to progress.
