Pine Mobile To Enter In Indian Handset Market


Indian Mobile handset Market has seen the launch of umpteen  number of mobile handset  in post recession time.Many local and multinational brands have become hyperactive and are launching new models everyday.These companies are spending heavily in promotion too to break the clutter.Micromax had the promotional budget of Rs.100 crore this year.Now latest to enter in market is Pine Mobile.
Singapore based mobile handset marketing company pine mobile is poised to enter the indian mobile  handset market soon.The company aims to target the bottom of pyramid and will launch entry level models to target rural and smaller city market.The company is planning to launch its King, Bee, Executive, Trio and A1 models in India.All these models are Dual SIM phones except Trio which is a Triple SIM phone.The handsets will be priced in the range of Rs.1800 to Rs.4000.The company will initially build retail network and then has plans to start manufacturing too.
The company will initially market its handsets in northern and northeast part of India.
The Indian consumers have much to cheer about as the entry of many new players and  competition has  resulted in launch of feature rich dual sim,qwerty and multimedia phones in the range of Rs.2000 to Rs.4000.Indian youth aspires to flaunt a phone which is feature rich but the price had been big detterant so far.But many new players have launched feature rich phones at surprisingly low price and that’s the reason these companies are seeing good sale in rural and tier 2 & tier 3 cities.Micromax has recently replaced LG mobile to become india’s third largest selling mobile handsetafter Nokia & Samsung.
