IDEA Cellular, the pan India GSM mobile operator has once again launched never before calling rates for its prepaid subscribers in Uttar Pradesh East. Virgin mobile, the joint venture of Virgin group and Tata Teleservices today announced vFLASH mobile broadband service across India. Virgin mobile India has a youth brand appeal. They offer attractive tariff plans for calls and SMS over their CDMA network across the country. The mobile broadband service is offered as a part of their expansion strategy into data services. Users can access broadband services using the supplied vFLASH data card with each connection. One of the partner of the venture, Tata Teleservices currently offer mobile broadband service under Photon Plus brand. Virgin Mobile vFLASH data card can offer a medium of 3.1 mbps speed in selected networks with backward compatibility.
Virgin mobile has announced attractive tariff plans for vFLASH USB broadband services. The very basic plan is pay as go, in which user need to pay 1 RS/min of usage. Two other tariff plans at RS 500pm and RS 750pm comes with .5 and 2GB free usage.
There is no unlimited broadband plan. But for heavy users there are two 10GB options RS 950 pm and RS 1100 pm. Among which the first one has 2GB (7-11PM) day usage plus 10GB (11PM-7)night usage. MTNL Plans to Rock VDSL Service With Exciting Tariff Plans
MTNL is planning to promote its newly launched Very High bit-rate Digital Subscribers Line (VDSL) broadband service by offering very exciting tariff plans.
With MTNL VDSL broadband service customers can enjoy 50-55 Mbps speed. Customers can also enjoy 20 Mbps downloading speed with VDSL.
MTNL's Executive Director J Gopal said, "We plan to offer attractive tariff plans for this service in about a couple of weeks. At present, VDSL facility is available at limited locations in the city. The company will take steps to provide this facility in maximum areas.”
According to former broadband plan, MTNL users can avail upto 45 GB free download per month for Rs. 9000. But according to new tariff plan, customers can experience 20 GB free download per month for Rs. 4999. After free download users will be charged 50 paisa per MB.
MTNL and BSNL also provide 3G services exclusively to its customers. "We have 35,000 3G customers in the city. If the number portability is launched before the 3G auction, we will be able to attract more customers from other service providers, using the first-mover advantage," Gopal said.
He added, "We will add another 300 towers within two-months. When our basic infrastructure is ready, we will come out with more offers to attract customers. As of now, we have 4.15-lakh broadband customers in Mumbai with around 20,000 additions every month.”

BSNL Expands Its 3G Mobile Service Network in Tamilnadu
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today expands its 3G coverage in the state of Tamilnadu by launching much awaited 3G mobile services in the business city Coimbatore, tourist hot spot Ooty, and Coonoor, which comes under Tamil Nadu telecom circle with lowest Video and Voice tariff plans.

The Beam is a micro payment service through which a person can make money transfers to his account using pre-paid coupons against a mobile number.
The GSMA’S Mobile World Congress is the combination of an exhibition for the GSM mobile industry and a conference featuring chief executives representing mobile operators, vendors and content owners from across the world. Spanning 219 countries, the GSMA consists of nearly 800 of the world’s mobile operators, as well as more than 200 companies from handset makers, software companies, equipment providers, Internet companies, and media and entertainment organizations.
